TRANSPATH at IPBES12 Stakeholder Day: Bridging Science, Business and Policy

03 Feb 2026

The IPBES12 Stakeholder Day serves as a key entry point for dialogue between researchers, policymakers and societal actors working at the biodiversity science-policy interface. This year, in the context of the Business and Biodiversity Assessment, there was a specific focus on private-sector actors. Designed to foster exchange and promote the uptake of scientific knowledge in decision-making, the event brought together initiatives advancing transformative biodiversity action ahead of government negotiations.

In this context, the presence of TRANSPATH materials alongside other EU Horizon projects, with which TRANSPATH closely collaborates within the cluster of transformative change projects, including BioAgora, Co-OP4CBD, and RESPIN, highlights the project's alignment with the efforts to translate research into policy-relevant knowledge and support the implementation of transformative pathways linking biodiversity and climate action.

TRANSPATH's mission is to transform tools such as the Business and Biodiversity Assessment into accessible knowledge products to maximize their reach and impact. By bridging the gap between scientific assessment and practical application, we aim to ensure these vital insights reach the decision-makers and practitioners who need them most.
